I wasn't to sure what to expect from this break, but I soon found the hospitality to be second to none. Thanks to Pete I have managed to put on a few pounds, the food was superb, no need to venture out as everything is just here. Christine has totally destressed me as now I feel like a new women, the Reiki was an eye opening experience both mentally & spiritually but definately worth having done. I recommend the hot stone massage as it was fantastic. With the fresh air, good food and the pamper I am definately booking my return visit as this is certainly the place to come for total relaxation. Thank you very much for looking after us so well. Niki 29th November 2005 - Dear Peter & Christine, Shambala is really heaven on earth. We arrived four frazzled friends and leave new women after four days of blissful pampering. Don't be fooled by petite Christine...she delivers a firm massage! The food is fabulous, homemade bread and pastries for breakfast with fresh fruit salad & freshly squeezed fruit juices. What could be better! Dinner is something to behold to with exquisite dishes made from scratch from the tastiest local ingredients, real gourmet food but beware the portions are huge! Make sure you leave room for all the courses or you will regret it! Most days Peter discussed what our preferences were for dinner over breakfast, what a man! My personal favourite was the tagliatelle withi mushrooms followed by panfried Salmon on a bed of courgettes in a sauce with tomatoes, prawns & other scrummy things. In between eating for England you would find me having some of the best Spa treatments I've ever had. My problem skin has never felt so good thanks to Christine. While we loved cosy nights by the fire watching videos and sampling the wines we can't wait to retun in the late summer to take advantage of the pool. The stone massage is something to be tried and experienced. Learning to meditate with Christine was a great experience too. The room was really comfortable and had everthing one could need and breakfast absolutely delicious with fresh bread and cakes. The 3 days that we have spent here have not been long enough.
